       The Circuit Courts are the trial courts of general jurisdiction and are located on the 6th and 8th floors of the Mobile County Courthouse.  The Circuit Court hears all civil matters with amounts exceeding $10,000.00, criminal prosecutions involving felony offenses and family court matters.  This Courts power is concurrent with that in the District Court when the controversial amount exceeds $3,000.00 but not $10,000.00.  This Court exercises appelatte jurisdiction over cases that have been appealed from District Court, Probate Court, Baldwin County Municipal Court and other administrative and municipal boards
